New research on emergency rental assistance during the pandemic not only went to neighborhoods and households in need but also had long lasting, positive effects after receiving assistance (e.g., less likely to be displaced). Report coming soon.

For researchers/anyone needing data that’s getting wiped from gov websites, check out archive.org. For example here’s public health data recently deleted from the CDC archive.org/details/2025... I also anticipate census disruptions eventually. Check out nhgis.org for that. Keep up the work!

So the hiring freeze rescinded my upcoming grant with the VA. Also impacted several other things. So I might be out of a job after my current grant runs out. I wouldn’t be surprised if this raises unemployment by several points soon. Both thru direct and indirect effects of the freeze.
