This whole thing is truly bananas. If you don’t watch #Texas politics, short version: Trump is desperate for a win, so he waived tariffs on imported beef to lower prices. TX-11, my district, is pretty big on beef. Not the biggest, but it’s a helpful talking point when not talking about oil. (1/2)

they don’t have enough thugs to cover all polling places illegally but that wont stop a symbolic display for stochastic reasons every campaign should have an election day and early voting plan for this

Todd Blanche: “I am not sure of the uproar of having a Border Patrol or ICE agent at a polling location. What's the risk?” Uhm, maybe because it’s illegal? Federal statute 18 U.S.C. § 592 prohibits deploying “troops or armed men” to locations where elections are held. An AG should know this.

Texas Congressman August Pfluger just filed legislation that would repeal EPA regulations in California. Texas District 11 deserves a representative who files legislation for Texas communities and Texas families-- not his billionaire donors doing business in California.

I agree strongly with this -- in that difficult moment, the possibility of collective effort was conceivable. Not everybody felt it, but many did. I think the political class did not like this one bit.

Covid lockdowns demonstrated, in a deeply imperfect way, the possibility of large-scale social solidarity for a higher cause. That is a prime reason why so many powerful people want us to run screaming away from them into the comforting arms of selfish individualist competition.

This can’t be reformed. It’s not a training issue. The agents who murdered Pretti and Good, and who shot Sosa-Celis have been agents for more than 8 years. I’ll be voting for candidates who support dismantling DHS and abolishing ICE.

"Tonk" is a Border Patrol slur that refers to the sound a metal flashlight makes when used to beat a migrant in the head. And that's the word that Border Patrol agents under the direct command of Greg Bovino were using when bragging about their arrests in Los Angeles last year.
