Nota em reação à decisão dos EUA de alterar o visto da embaixadora do Brasil em Washington O Governo brasileiro repudia a decisão anunciada hoje pelo Departamento de Estado dos EUA de alterar o visto da embaixadora do Brasil em Washington. As duas justificativas apresentadas são falsas. O processo de concessão de agrément é confidencial e o nome designado só deveria vir a público depois de concedida a anuência, conforme estipula o artigo 4 da Convenção de Viena sobre Relações Diplomáticas. O governo dos Estados Unidos anunciou publicamente o nome de seu candidato antes de apresentar o pedido formal de agrément ao governo brasileiro. O Brasil segue estritamente o direito internacional. Não há regra na Convenção de Viena estipulando prazo para a concessão do agrément. O pedido norte-americano ainda se encontra em análise. Os dois funcionários do governo norte-americano que tiveram seus vistos de entrada no Brasil negados planejavam visitar o país para colocar em dúvida a integridade do sistema eleitoral brasileiro, em tentativa inaceitável de interferir no processo político nacional. Vale recordar que seguem em vigor sanções individuais sobre autoridades brasileiras, notadamente o cancelamento de vistos para os EUA, com base na alegação infundada de perseguição política ao ex-presidente Bolsonaro. Entre essas autoridades estão ministros da Suprema Corte e funcionários de primeiro escalão do Poder Executivo. O governo brasileiro não poupou esforços para resolver essas diferenças. O próprio presidente Lula, em sua visita a Washington em maio último, entre outros assuntos, solicitou ao presidente Trump o levantamento das sanções individuais. A decisão de hoje não é um fato isolado. Faz parte de uma escalada deliberada de medidas hostis ao Brasil, motivadas por razões ideológicas incompatíveis com uma parceria bilateral que sempre foi pautada pelo respeito mútuo. Fica óbvio também o interesse descabido de interferir na próxima eleição para presidente.

Acho importantíssimo esse movimento da Erika junto não só com a candidatura à reeleição. Ela já sacou que o negócio é o legislativo, coisa que a direita e muita família sitiada lá percebeu faz tempo. As câmaras e o Senado tão lotadas de gente que impedem MUITO qualquer presidenciável de esquerda.

"In general if you mention Theorist Media, [people] are like 'I don't know what that is,'” said another Theorist Media worker. “And then you're like 'Do you know MatPat,' and they're like 'Oh yeah.' So that is a way to get people that might not have engaged with the brand for a while back." This also provides a potential source of leverage: Theorist Media’s viewership dropped following Patrick’s departure, and while workers say that management has claimed it’s since stabilized, that doesn’t mean the company’s metrics can afford to take another big hit if, say, fans pull their support due to outrage over Lunar X’s failure to recognize the union. "I personally think that after MatPat left, a lot of our audience kind of disengaged from the channels.” But the sword cuts both ways: YouTube is a choppy sea in the best of times, and one or two unfavorable algorithm shifts could send workers careening overboard. "This is a worry that predates [Patrick] retiring, that I've heard also across the industry of YouTubers. It's a volatile, volatile industry,” said a Theorist Media worker. “We are very aware that any day it could just all collapse, so that was another [indication] that we need to have severance in our contracts."

Fuck off. If anything is "millennial", it's those cool transparent colors our iMacs, Gameboys, and Tamagotchis came in. No fucking millennial likes the house flipper grey. Call it a millennial paint job when I can see through the exterior of a car because it's Glacier Purple like my GBA.

Amnesty International put out a major report documenting the influence of UK based anti trans gender critical organizations and their funding. Within hours, GC groups threatened defamation lawsuits and Amnesty was forced to pull it down. Proving the point they're anti rights. Anyways, here it is.
