Today is the 134th anniversary of the beginning of the CTA Elevated Trains. On this day in 1892, the first "L" train ran from Pershing & State to Congress & Wabash. Chicago is the only city with elevated trains in its downtown area.

I'm happy to say that I'm vehemently pro-trans and anti-fascist. I think we should let people be themselves and stand against the ideologies of people like, you know, Hitler, Mussolini and their followers. Come for me if you must, but I'm pretty firm on this. This isn't courageous—just correct.
Spotted at the M14 bus stop a Lyft add encouraging people to take Lyft mind you that line also parallels the fucking L train for most of its run. IDK an ad on mass transit designed to undermine mass transit seems gross.

I just remembered that this (I'm up late so psychologically Saturday) morning a pigeon got spooked alongside my building, flew away in a hurry, directly into my face. Fully bodied by a pigeon. I think we really now are in a simulation.
Tonight I had the strange urge to have Ritz crackers with some duck patê and then thought "I don't have cornichons but I /do/ have pickle dip. So I guess I invented upper Midwest charcuterie tonight. 🤷♂️
Why must we have a truly inspiring and beautiful moment in human history while also in a historically disastrous period for humanity? The dichotomy of today is insane. But I'm glad we had the former today and this last week to remind us we could just make good choices and reach for the stars. 😭
