All else aside, I think the idea that political parties should only ever say things that journalists approve of it's not a great idea and even a big part to why every aspect of this country has become progressively more shit.

I’m sorry, but this is a fantasy. The *entire point of all this* for ten years has been 1) Absolutely fuck you, the left does not get any kind of power, ever, 2) We will do and say literally anything, whatever it takes, to ensure this never happens and 3) Britain does what America wants, full stop.

Let me try this once more.
It was a choice.
EITHER the Greens adopted a slogan.
OR they could have joined the next govt, where they could push for an end to arms sales, sanctions, support for the arrest warrants etc.
It was never going to be both.
Which one makes a material difference?

Some people here don't seem to have understood the purpose of a political party.
It's not the same as a protest movement.
It is a vehicle designed to get into
government, to change legislation and make a material difference to the lives of people at home and abroad. 2/2

I can't believe the party that enacted the first new anti-trans legislation since Thatcher and is still selling arms to the IDF is now stamping their feet and refusing to work with Greens, a party that, just to remind you, HASN'T said "please work with us, Labour".

"Suggest you google this guy" Manchester City Council responded to my 2013 Freedom of Information request for details of their deal with Manchester City by flagging my background to City's chief communications officer. Deeply inappropriate (and that's being generous).

Given the leadership claim to be Catholic righteous and God fearing, I do think that if they try to execute someone multiple times and that person doesn't die, there ought to be a "this is a message from God" type clause for letting them live.

"JK Rowling is already a billionaire and everyone already knows about Harry Potter, what's the point of boycotting?" Nobody thinks boycotting will bankrupt her. We know she's gonna die rich. We're just asking you to show a shred of solidarity with trans folk. Absolute low bar bare minimum shit.
