Hi! I'm working on a new HTML feature: filterable select There are two proposed API shapes so far: 1. Nesting <input> in <select> 2. Sibling <input> for listbox <select> w/id ref Option 1 is more ergonomic, but would break selects in older browsers Thoughts? (Both currently in Canary w/flag)

Dialog view transitions with invoker commands. 1. Intercept the "command" and "cancel" events. 2. Run startViewTransition(), in the callback move the view-transition-name from the <button> to <dialog> (and back). 3. Then call `showModal()` or `close()` to toggle the dialog.

How are web component folks dealing with a main app, composed of many subpackages using custom elements without scoped custom element registries? Each package _wants_ to specify their own version of the Design System. But the first element registered "wins".

It's not fun to make tech content as much anymore, too. I'm doing some because I actually like it, but it feels like I'm shouting into a slop-driven void nearly everywhere. It's really tiring. I get so much joy reading individual blogs and newsletters still (like yours!), at least.
