Starting ribbing the cuff for a 2nd fingerless glove.

When colonization came to call in the US, many folks wrote about america as a pristine Eden whose forest were filled with delights and bounty. This was because indigenous folk (Like mine) built up food forest. Things that were razed and destroyed as a part of racist violence. Colonization is ongoing

To put this in perspective chestnut trees used to be dominant species in the United States. Billions of trees were killed by fungal blight and now fully grown America chestnuts are functionally extinct. There is no getting them back. Ever. 🌼Flower Dance🌼 I'll be vending again at the Hamilton Art Crawl tomorrow where this wall tile and other various work will be available! 📍Hamilton, ON, James Street North between York Blvd to Murray St East, 5pm-11pm

A round ceramic tile with a white background. The illustration on it features four fuzzy, pink, semi-humanoid creatures linking hands and dancing in a circle. They have puffball tails, big, round eyes, and a whiskered snout.
They wear an upside down flower as a hat, and more flower illustrations frame the scene.
