Me: hello yeah my fiber is out *1 hour later* ISP: best we can do is a technician appointment tomorrow afternoon. ISP: btw it's only $10 extra per month to double your Internet speed Me: so double of 0?

Yeah so maybe now we talk about the merits of open sourcing your model weights instead of being a single point of failure for access to models

Playing the new Fable 5 game, just got the 95% session usage limit warning. Idk why Anthropic keeps advertising "runs longer unattended" when the $200 max plan can't even handle a single prompt

- Opus model scores statistically significantly worse for a week (tracked on marginlab.ai) - New version of Opus drops So every few months I just get a week of degraded performance as part of my hella expensive subscription, followed by "numbers only go up" benchmarks and marketing Sigh

Loaded up beat saber for the first time in years, and the first time since switching to Linux full time. Got some openxr runtime not found error in game. Spent about 5 minutes looking through forum posts before remembering claude code exists. 30 seconds later it was just fixed.

your regular reminder that reticulum.network doesn't require any LoRa hardware to get started because it also works over the internet (and basically literally any other way to share information with 5bps of throughout and an MTU of >500) so you can explore nomadnet or meshchat or columba right now

@anthropic.com giving out 2x Claude Code usage for Christmas was brilliant. All the enterprise users were on vacation or barely working, so they likely had extra capacity. And the folks using CC last week were likely working on passion projects or side gigs. I already miss it lol

Some of the last reasons to stay on Windows have been gaming related. Both the time from installation to in-game and gaming performance on Bazzite are now actually better than Windows on many games, and living room usability is more seamless too.

It took me half an hour to beat the Add to Cart boss. Another half hour to beat the Shopping Cart boss. I've been stuck on the Payment Method boss for the last hour now, games brutal.
