#AugustWorldbuilders (Catching up weee) Everyone in the Elvish kingdom of Sur'vayl has access to free basic education. The curriculum varies however, since only Elves can perform magic. Specialized magic education is also available to those with sufficient aptitude (and wealth/connections). 1/3

Most Elvish schools have similar dynamics to our own, with the addition of magic. Elite schools for especially powerful mages however are very different. To attend, one must pass a litany of tests demonstrating their aptitude. Of course wealth and status come into play as well. #AugustWorldbuilders

Seeing complaints online that authors 'gatekeep' information…! Absolute nonsense. There is no industry or craft in the world which is so comprehensively written about, studied, and discussed as fiction writing, and every author I know welcomes new writers who are serious about giving it a go.
