Picked up a copy of "Hyperpolitics" on a whim after seeing it promoted all over the place and I can only conclude that Verso have an amazing marketing department because there's not much substance here and the evidence base is weak.

ok but two things: 1. the bar isn't "helpful", its "truthful"; offering a bunch of lies with a smile isn't actually the goal here 2. people are pissed because the WH press insists on defending an ally of American fascism, not because they think you were lying about her being helpful

The far-right reactions are not the real problem. They do what they believe in. The big problem is the similar reactions from liberal democratic parties from left to right. And thát, more than anything, is the problem of the 21st century!

When an EU member is in trouble, esp if instigated from outside, as for Spain in Ceuta, solidarity should be the only EU response. Far-right reactions is yet more proof there’s no “moderate” far-right, only different ways far right forces seek to dismantle European integration

1 point I emphasize in my classes is that the ancient city of Rome for centuries had 6 aqueducts. Only 4 were necessary to supply enough drinking water for the ~1 mill pop. In rotation, 1 would be under repair & 1 was extra (used for other water purposes) in case of breakage. Redundancy saves lives!

When the Roman Empire "fell", one of the big parts that was an actual problems was the end of aqueduct maintenance. Clean water is life.

Jussin perusteltu mielipide vastaa hyvin pitkälle omaa mielipidettäni. Nolanin Odysseiassa Matt Damonin Odysseus katsoo kameraan erilaisissa hengettömissä maisemissa, jumalat on unohdettu ja loppumäihintä Batmania. Loppuratkaisu on Oppenheimer 2.0, mutta jää perustelematta lähes täysin.
