This is beyond concerning since the religious right's definition of Communism is "anyone left of center." At IFA, communism was the boogieman of the weekend; there were many prayers calling out to keep America from becoming a communist nation. It never will! You're safe! Don't worry!

Personally I will remember him as perhaps the Senate's most reliable engines for war and genocide, for literally saying "I'm not with you, I'm with Israel" and spearheading other horrifying shit like indefinite detention and giving our browsing data to 3rd parties without consent

What I’ll remember most about Senator Graham was his sense of humor and how he deployed it to move his policy positions forward. Though we did not often agree, Senator Graham was never disagreeable.

As a left leaning white guy with a beard, I will also say that NO CANDIDATE FOR OFFICE ON ANY SIDE SHOULD HAVE A NAZI TATTOO BUT ESPECIALLY ON THE LEFT. Platner isn't sorry for a damn thing, his non-apologies made that clear. He's only sorry he got caught. Mainers deserve better.

It is absolutely sickening (yet not at all surprising) that the right's main attack on Talarico isn't his policies but a blatant, unsubstantiated lie that he's a trans man. If he was, the attacks would still be just as despicable. And no one should be under attack for that, to be clear.

I find it curious that Mike Lee is now taking the position that the government should not be weighing in on matters of religious doctrine, despite joining an amicus brief in the Fifth Circuit that urged the court to uphold the Ten Commandments in public schools, now that he's on the receiving end.
