This is total horseshit from the CBC. Cori Bush WAS a CBC incumbent and Bernie has endorsed several Black candidates this cycle, including one who just won in Detroit. Not here to defend Bernie's 1970s class reductionist politics But the idea that he somehow has it in for Black people is bullshit

the CBC-vs-Sanders fight has been there since at least 2020 but is really spilling into the open now.

Senior strategist close to the Black Caucus tells me: “Bernie Sanders’ odd obsession with attempting to defeat CBC incumbents has become one of the most predictable failures in Democratic politics.”

El-Sayed: "They think they want to use my whole name against me. Mike, listen man, If you can't say the name -- it's Abdulrahman -- keep the name out your damn mouth."

El-Sayed: "They spent an unprecedented amount of money to beat us -- attack ad after attack ad after attack ad after attack ad, wall to wall ads. But it turns out that the commercials are the part of the television show most people don't want to watch."

A Muslim with a very Arab name running on a left-wing platform winning a statewide Democratic primary anywhere — let alone the Midwest — would have been unthinkable even a year or two ago. Now comes the hard part but this is still an incredible victory.

1. the whole "disappointing night" thing is pure cope. El-Sayed beat the establishment candidate despite being outspent 10:1, that's an earthquake 2. primary polls are just not great and everyone needs to spend the next week going really, really hard for Peggy Flanagan

A lot of white Americans seem to think that all Muslims are responsible for 9/11, and really, that every non-white group is responsible for anything bad anyone from that group has ever done
