About a year ago I quit Duolingo's premium subscription because of it's abysmal behaviour considering AI. I continued to use the free version (with a guilty conscience) as it was a part of my daily routine for 13 years and switching to a new app in the middle of multiple courses is a real pain.

What honestly pisses me off is that I'm probably improving stats on AI images. I just have this need to be able to tell slop apart from the real deal and thus I often linger on images where I'm not sure, inadvertently telling the algorithm that I'm really interested in that kind of content 🤦‍♀️. #NoAI

Things to do if you're stuck inside by inclement weather: - crochet - dust off your Ouija Board and summon a party demon - crochet two hats, one for you and one for your new best friend the party demon

Just my thoughts/experience: It is immensely important to make art during tumultuous times. That shouldn’t come with the expectation that are will *sell* in times like these. But creation. Artwork. By humans. It has to continue. Art is crucial to movements and our humanity. We need it.
