The creator who charges forward believing in paradise.
My first impressions of AACC Arcade Mode is that the first one I did had a fake credits set up before making me play as someone else.
It’s time to go back to prom Mighty No 9 Ten Years Later. So much has happened with that game, its characters, its creator Keiji Inafune, his company Comcept, and the company he left, Capcom Watch with your pets! RT’s appreciated! youtu.be/UlhB7RQZdOU
my description isn't just another generic description — it's a completely new experience
I think too many people got comfortable letting LLMs handle their descriptions.
"Huh I wonder why Zeke was recasted in the switch 2 version of xenoblade" >checks the old VAs twitter account ah
I was considering checking it out then I saw the awful AI thumbnail the dev used for the videos and realized it was shit. It includes all your favorite landmarks like Warterton and Mewttoin
It's not a recompilation at all. The author clearly asked an LLM to translate the decompilation of the game to Lua. The codebase is filled with evidence of this. It's a non-deterministic process that led to hundreds of game-breaking issues, either graphical or gameplay inaccuracies.
Now that this person got some media attention, they're proudly displaying this as badges on the repository, showing what truly matters to them instead of being honest about the project. @kotaku.com @digitalfoundry.bsky.social @polygon.com @androidauthority.bsky.social @xdadevelopers.bsky.social
I want to correct myself, the author does manually write some code: replacing the em dashes with double dashes. github.com/bryanthaboi/...
There's sadly no other way to get grifters out of the scene other than completely rejecting this and not giving them a space at all. Not mentioning their blatant and incorrect usage of AI is just their latest tactic to try to break through. Outright irresponsible people shouldn't be celebrated.
Kotaku parading that garbage "recompilation" Generation 1 Pokémon project is genuinely upsetting. I was hoping the communities would reject vibe coded garbage, but these people are now intentionally hiding the usage and even lying that it's hand-written to peddle their slop onto others.
