Everytime I hear “no political retribution” I think of our country blowing up fishing vessels in the Caribbean and then going back to kill the survivors. Until now, the republicans have owned that unspeakably evil behavior. If the democrats do nothing about it, they are collaborators.

I am once again begging any interested Delaware or Idaho resident who wants to be the named plaintiff in a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of the cap on the US House of representatives to reach out to me. Why Delaware and Idaho? Their Districts are ~2x the population of Rhode Island's
All this talk of "getting even" or payback or whatever. It's not "getting even". It's enforcing the law. Say that. Correct that. Don't fall into that trap. There's absolutely no reason to.
Contact your senators and demand they oppose another term for Chuck Schumer as leader — and insist on a public and transparent process for choosing new leadership. Schumer has a lower approval rating than Trump. After our seismic wins, we need new leadership to define this new era of politics.
The day after winning election, Senator-elect Peggy Flanagan called for Chuck Schumer to be replaced as the Democrats’ leader in the U.S. Senate.
The question is wrong, the answer is wrong. Corruption was at the top of the list of voters’ concerns along withvwffordsbility. It’s not about retribution. It’s about justice.
"The American people don't want us to get even; they want us to get things done on their behalf." House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, who is now poised to become the next House Speaker, says that Democrats will focus on affordability concerns and not retribution after their midterm wins.
1/ Dear dozens of new economic populist members of Congress, You’ll face fast pressure to deliver economic results. How to do it? Subpoena CEOs. A shocking amount of time, they'll change what they are doing long before you pass a bill or actually cut off their federal funding. So:
Meet the donors behind incoming speaker Hakeem Jeffries: -Anduril CEO Brian Schimpf: $100,000 -Anduril COO Matthew Grimm: $44,300 -Palantir’s Mehdi Allhassani: $44,300 -Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong: $7,000 -Crypto trade group lobbyist Adrian Wall: $50,000 🧵
I am so fucking tired of "seeking justice" being framed as "getting even." Arresting and/or impeaching people who are legitimately guilty of actual crimes is not revenge. It is justice. Innocent people should be released from detention and guilty people should be in prison. Again, that is JUSTICE.
There will be no corontion of Schumer after the No Kings election. Caucus rules say the leader is selected in December. If you have a new or existing Dem Senator, today is a good day to call and congratulate them and confirm they will oppose Schumer and demand a public process for a new leader. ❌👑
one more point: whether Platner-shilling or Ramaswamy ad defending, there's an approach to politics that insists we ignore decency in favor of the barbarous because "practicality" demands it. The next time you see this (you will), ask whether you're seeing commitment to practicality or to barbarism
Fuck you, Susan Collins. On behalf of every woman you sold out. FUCK. YOU.
It’s incredibly important to recognize that Democrats running up the score so high they exceeded the margins of fuckery is not a sign of democratic health. It is a time-limited reprieve to secure the government before we lose it. This was the failure of the Biden Era that cannot be repeated.
yeah it turns out if you keep shooting people in the street and kidnapping children and making it impossible to get food or healthcare or education and then gloat about it, everybody hates you
i'm gonna need a minute, in fact several thousand
'In 1860, an enslaved man named Sheppard Peek was listed among the possessions of William Peek, a white man in Crawfordville. His value was placed at $1,400. More than a century and a half later, Sheppard’s great-great-granddaughter, Keisha Lance Bottoms, was elected governor of Georgia.'
Woke up to a bird chirping. Unfortunately, that bird was under my bed, and in my cat’s mouth.
“You are disgusting. Put yourself in shape. You look like hell.” — 😳 a demented Trump snaps at a reporter who asks him if he’s too unwell to go to Kansas on Saturday
It's like an actual report, on Congressional letterhead and everything, and many, many people in my real life which is full of really informed people are like "whaa, what are you talking about??"

Using lists of three is not an "AI tell." It's a common trait in human writing because our brains biologically want to make sure there's always one thing to marry, one thing to fuck, and one thing to murder.
A father in Idaho, speaking to police after his child died by suicide: “There is a huge amount of animosity, every single day, thrown at trans kids. The whole fucking country. The whole fucking administration, every single fucking day.” Please read this important story by @joyurcaba.bsky.social
Idaho pushed anti-trans laws for years. Then a teen died.
The life and death of May Pollard, 16, provides a window into the tragic effect that legislation and political rhetoric have had on trans people in America.
