The BEST thing that true believers in AI could do is stop evangelizing to people, like me, who think it sucks. Do the hard, years-long work of detaching your beloved technology from the worst people in the world right now: shameless fascists driven by greed and domination. They’re YOUR partners.
Also do the honest work of eliminating any trace of plagiarism in your beloved product. How? Not my fucking problem! If you can’t run your business / technology without stealing other people’s work, it deserves to die. Personally I’m happy to see it die, so don’t try to make it my responsibility.
