Woman (adult human female) tired of explaining reality to fuckwits. A ‘wrong un’ apparently.
Sex Matters, together with 40 of the organisations targeted by Amnesty International, has written to Dame Julia Unwin, chair of the Charity Commission, calling for a reset on the culture of intolerance towards gender-critical views in the sector.
The Charity Commission must act

”far from being an accidental slip-up or an editorial error, the latest defamatory report accurately represents Amnesty UK’s deep-seated hostility to all organisations that believe sex is real & important, in contexts such as same-sex attraction & healing after sexual violence & trauma“ 🎁 in reply
The Conservative Party and Amnesty International may not have much in common but they are united in their determination to smear and blacklist critics. Piece from me on how free speech is under attack from all sides

To those who do not know, Beira's Place is a rape crisis centre exclusively for women that JKR set up becaue there was no single sex provison for women in Edinburgh. To dismiss BP as a "TERF" org is to dismiss the many female survivors of sexual violence who need & benefit from sss.
JK Rowling through her TERF organization, Beira's Place have sent Amnesty International a demand letter seeking a full retraction of their report, a public apology, and a bar to future criticism of gender critical groups as anti rights orgs. If they don't comply, they'll commence legal action.
Maya Forstater of the human rights organisation Sex Matters said: “Amnesty has been misrepresenting and denigrating anyone who recognises the biological and legal importance of the two sexes for several years now.” 🎁 link in reply
Despite the headline Amnesty probably would survive legal action, however it should be subjected to a Charity Commission investigation. While it prioritises ‘trans rights’, to the detriment of other vulnerable groups, it cannot legitimately call itself a ‘human rights’ charity 🎁 link in reply
FAO @amnestyuk.bsky.social Extract: 'Introduction' to 'Sex, Gender Identity and Sport'. Opposition to over-writing sex with gender identity comes from across the political spectrum. Academic feminists on the political left are pro- not anti- rights. We argue for equal rights for female people.
“To designate a refuge for female victims of male violence “anti rights” suggests you don’t believe women deserve any rights at all. It is also somewhat stupid to defame a service founded and wholly funded by JK Rowling, a billionaire.” 🎁 link in reply
"This is my latest piece. While freeform in structure overall, it also incorporates the symbolism of the petrosomatoglyphic style. I call it 'FUCK YOUR DRIVEWAY'"

Amnesty cannot expect to publish statements falsely claiming organisations like Beira’s Place or the LGB Network to be anti-rights. They are not, & to state such is libellous. Amnesty's hasty withdrawal of the article indicates they also realise it's libellous. www.scotsman.com/news/opinion...

Spot on from Susanna Rustin. This isn't just about toilets, it’s about the legal right to single-sex refuges, hospital wards, and prisons. Maintaining these boundaries is a matter of basic safety and dignity for women, especially survivors of violence.
