The new foundation for documents: Limitless power to write, create, and automate anything that you can fit on a page.

Join our community call today at 5pm CEST, 11am ET to hear about our current and future plans, to learn more about planned changes to math, and to get your questions answered by the team. (we also released Typst 0.15.1 with some bugfixes today, so it's a busy day)

In the background, the text "Multiples detected" below a diagram of moon phases. A ruler spans the top and right edges of the image. On its sides, annotations illustrating different features of Typst 0.15: The font features ".53 MONO, 800 wght, 0.7 CSRV", a MathML tag, and the text "[Verifying PDF/A-2a + PDF/UA-1] All checks passed".

I finished translating my CV from a complex mess of LaTeX constructions to a clean and much simpler @typst.app document. Typst handles multiple bibliographies out of the box, among other things. It also instantly processes BibTeX files without creating auxiliary files sub as .bbl.

Typst 0.15 is out now. It contains multitudes, including some of the most anticipated features and improvements that will smoothen your work. Learn what’s new in the thread below.

We know some of you nerds installed the Apple prerelases yesterday. We dare you to do the same today (Typst 0.15 RC1 is available).

Tune in today at 16:20 CEST, 10:20 EDT to learn how Typst achieves best-in-class performance and dive deeper into the implementation of the Typst compiler in the @rustnl.bsky.social RustWeek talk of Typst founder Laurenz Mädje.

Quarto 1.9 brings Typst even closer to LaTeX parity with 📖 Typst Books, ✍️ margins for figures, tables, and citations via the Marginalia package, and 🛜 new typst-gather tool for reliable, offline rendering. Details here: quarto.org/docs/blog/po...

We know that many of you are doing some of your best work with Typst. To prevent hackers from hijacking your Typst account, you should enable the new two-factor authentication feature.

Typst was unavailable today, from approximately 11:45 to 13:15 CET, due to a backend failure. The service is now fully restored. We're very sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Apparently, arXiv has been looking into adding support for @typst.app! I had idle hands during a day off, so I wrote up a template for the Open Journal @ojastro.bsky.social that is fairly complete with features (see image). It can actually do a bit more than the LaTeX template, from Typst!
