(showing a 23 year old dude with a Keith Hernandez mustache how to tell time on an analog clock) that’s great big guy! you’re so close to getting it. let’s try again

Interesting on BBC News at ten here, where they’ve just laid out exactly what the settlements are, why they’re illegal, graphically shown how the settlers behave, that they are terrorists, why the government is imposing sanctions and that a long list of European nations will follow suit.

For a certain kind of white man, there is no fear more primal than the fear that the people they have abused will gain power and treat them the same way.

My colleague @alexwgalbraith.bsky.social is getting grief for this piece, but he's right. I hate to say, but Mike Judge may have got right wing-curious around this time. He was buddies with Alex Jones. I think he's come back around, but the movie is reactionary. www.salon.com/2026/09/06/i...

"Idiocracy" is still a worthless artifact 20 years later

The film's smirking, know-it-all pose was tired when it released. It’s useless now

The settlements are unambiguously illegal; the Israeli state is up to its neck in horrifying war crimes, but its leaders cannot rein it in one inch, IMO because they are basically southern plantation owners: they know very well they are despicable criminals and they go mental at anyone hinting at it

UK announces sanctions on West Bank settlements prompting furious Israeli response

Britain's foreign secretary accuses settlers of carrying out the "ethnic cleansing" of Palestinians, as Israel responds by shutting the UK consulate in East Jerusalem.

Last year, we did a "Who the Hell was Charlie Kirk" episode as a sort of antidote to the ridiculous mythologizing that we saw in mainstream media regarding who Kirk actually was. This episode comes in the same spirit as that one did, as we're expecting the same kind of nonsense later this week.

And if we were largely seeing it among minorities, it would be treated like child abuse. Parents who refused to get the MMR would have their kids taken. But since it's mostly white people, suddenly it's an idea we have to respect.

I know this is a common belief, but it’s not true. If people went anti-vaxx/MAHA because they were excluded from the medical establishment, we would see sky-high rates among poor people, minorities and the uninsured. We don’t.

Leftists have this fantasy that if you pass new deal 2 it just kills fascism and it’s delusional as ms now/resist liberalism’s delusion that just voting for democrats will also just magically kill fascism

I support giving people real material benefits but that's not going to fix this either. When people are pounded with videos on TikTok all day demonizing immigrants, it won't matter what benefits you give them.
