Found a guy on Google maps who has been leaving reviews of places he has never been. He has dozens of reviews like this.
We just had a guy in the shop visiting from Portland. “I’m surprised this city doesn’t have better bike infrastructure.” BANGS HEAD ON DESK. 🙄
Please stop saying “lockdowns.” There were never true lockdowns in the US, and it fuels far right narratives to repeat this inaccurate statement. You can say closures, you can say restrictions, or better, you can say public health measures which saved many lives.

We had stay-at-home orders, where although businesses were closed, you could still go outside whenever you wanted. Other countries had far stricter rules, and yet have been much more accepting of them as they saved many more lives.
We don't really have a state anymore. We have the statistical convenience that the inertia of our failed state yet makes catastrophic failure happen sporadically.

Daniel Drezner@dandrezner.bsky.social · 2mo agoMy hot take is that Lindsey Graham did many contemptible things but if you’re furious that his Senate Democratic colleagues are posting nice things about him today you need to put down your phone, get some fresh air, and remember a time when a colleague you disliked departed this mortal coil.
Sometimes I feel silly riding my cargo bike to work alone, but then I remember that nearly every car commuter is hauling their laptop and sandwich in a personal living room on wheels with room for 4–6 other people.
