For the past five months the only refugees the USA has accepted are white South Africans fleeing equality & safety meanwhile they are disappearing or strapping ankle monitors on any Haitian they can get ahold of. It needs to be understood how thoroughly connected these two things are.

Idk where to find contemporary Jewish media & community that's not about Israel. My options seem to be only Zionism or an anti-Zionism that opposes but still centers Israel. I want something that overcomes Zionism, yes, but that also dedicates space for our lives here & now too. An a-Zionism maybe

Honda is better in the new SF6 patch. I already tried not to whiff st MP so it's the same in neutral to me, although he loses some safe-vs-drive reversal meaty setups. But his neutral, conversions, & safety vs drive impact are all a bit better. Just, not the kind of better that wins any new matchups

SF6 patch notes are almost always big enough to change decisions in every match but almost never big enough to change outcomes in any matchup. I gotta study what happened with all these blorbos just to have my results against them stay the same? Almost feels like busywork to me tbh

I worry that most cynical among us, hopped up on 30 years of law and order rhetoric, will say "this is the system working: he didn't do anything wrong and now he's free." As if the terror and wide-scale publicity of an arrest and federal prosecution is not a horrible punishment in and of itself.

Hibiki is both a protag & a villain. For most of us, rooting for low tier heroes is fun & easy. For Lily players, every match Hibiki wins condemns another player to thinking they can do what Hibiki does & to frustration & misery when they inevitably cannot. He is a misery maker as much as a joy

Twitch and Amazon are apparently planning to use streams to train Generative AI. Multiple sources tell me it will be announced in the coming months, despite some internal friction against it. Creators may be able to opt out of some training data.

Trump 2 has shown that the bulk of federal, state, and local "law enforcement" don't perform any useful functions at all. If they did, it would not be so easy to re-task them to brainless gestapo work like rounding up whole neighborhoods and waiting outside public buildings.
