While the SCREEN Act failed in the committee, KOSA did move forward. Contact your senators immediately demanding it be opposed, and keep the pressure up until it comes to a vote in the Senate
The Senate Commerce Committee just passed KOSA out of committee with zero debate & failed to move the SCREEN Act. punchbowl.news/article/tech...
SCREEN Act, which would have required mandatory age-verification for sites (like this) that allow "material harmful to minors" failed to pass out of committee after thousands and thousands of people called their Senators. More work ahead!
The SCREEN Act just failed to pass in the Senate Commerce Committee! 🎉 Enormous thanks to the thousands (!!) of you who told your Senators to vote no! Your voice matters and you should feel good that you made a difference. Obviously, the fight isn't over, but this was an important victory.
okay but, this is the way we fight AI in everyday life we need to foster an atmosphere of disgust and repulsion of AI, like AI is like seeing a roach in a google review. Get up and leave the restaurant. "um, I just saw some AI stuff, I just... I dunno, it's gross haha. I'm good. thanks. Thank you"
we need to be normies about this and be like "EEEWW... IS THAT AI? THAT'S SO GROSS.... EW IT LOOKS SO GROSS (gag noise) UM, LET'S GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. EW LOL" normalize being outwardly repulsed by it physically
If SCREEN were to pass, you'd be required to scan your face and upload an ID to access this site because it allows "harmful" material. This affects you even if you don't care about sex work or porn.
Mike Lee's SCREEN Act, which heads to Senate Commerce Committee for markup on Wednesday, would expand age verification requirements to a nearly limitless scope of websites, and is supported by the architects of Project 2025.
god I love it when they tell on themselves how they never fucking go grocery shopping fucking ever either he makes his wife do it or eats out every day or some stupid shit #political
suspiciously green bananas is sadly one of the funniest things i’ve read in awhile
Psst, hey buddy, you wanna be a real Koopa this #bowserday ? Listen, I know a guy who's got the goods, make all those kingdom dreams come true. I'll link him below 😉
Please contact your senators about the SCREEN ACT, which is moving through the senate commerce committee TOMORROW And while youre at it, demand opposition to KOSA and the KIDS Act as well! www.congress.gov/members/find...

What can you do? CALL. WRITE. SCREAM. The bill is up for a vote THIS WEDNESDAY. Call your Senator. Dem. Republican. Whomever. Right now, it's a solid R bill, but they're looking for Dems to take it across the finish line. Let them know how badly it stinks. www.defendonlineprivacy.com/screen/
I'm starting to see the "this grown ass adult man got hopelessly addicted to GenAI it's not his fault" shit pop up and fuck all of that

My 5th attack thrown towards @knaveofclubs.bsky.social of an encounter between Lash and Vena in her bar! Vena would definitely appreciate Lash's company, 𝘪𝘯 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯 𝘰𝘯𝘦. #Artfight2026 #TeamMystery
Pretty happy with how I did this Artfight considering it was my first time participating this year 5 whole ass complete pieces within a month is a lot for me due to my very meticulous process so I'm impressed I managed to get this many pieces out at all without burning out!
"What do you find appealing in the furry art?" This is a big post where I ask myself the question I generally ask furries a lot when I have the occasion. The alt texts gives more thoughts on the concepts I tried here. And you, how did you discover the fandom? Feel free to tell me if you want!
Oh no. Exactly what everyone who knows literally *anything* about it said would happen did in fact happen. Wow. So now all the other know nothings in other governments around the world who are planning on giving away everyone's privacy will stop and think for a single second, right? Right??
Australia’s eSafety commissioner buried a report (released Friday afternoon) that shows the under 16 social media ban didn’t tangibly reduce teen social media use, and also resulted in parents tuning out of kids usage. We traded our privacy for no reason. theconversation.com/more-than-80...
This will be the US if the SCREEN Act passes. Call your Senators before August 5 and tell them that you oppose the SCREEN Act, KOSA, and the KIDS Act. Use the official lookup tool at www.senate.gov/senators/sen... to find yours by state.
#ArtFight2026 Target #24 - @ultraous.bsky.social + @knaveofclubs.bsky.social Two hopeless romantics share love stories... Poor Vena... is there any brave and strong lad that could help heal her woes!?
The TOS being so strict that they control you offsite is the problem; sites like Patreon and Kofi have offsite clauses too. The social criminalization of the suggestion that somewhere you might be doing nsfw is a problem. It's branding a person as obscene and we need consumers to stand up for us
a bunch of popular ASMR artists lost their channels forever this week, after YouTube cited them for violating terms against "sexually gratifying" content: www.404media.co/youtube-asmr...
This giving me another idea… (Minotaur is from Legend of Pipi)
The federal government is protecting the AI child porn apps and Google goes after someone wearing cat ears whispering into a mic while eating cereal
