Teacher. Toy Collector. Cook. Way too old to still be watching wrestling.

Last night was my 5th year giving out Hot Wheels and my first giving out beers to parents. I’m not a very neighborly person and like to keep to myself. Hope nobody talks to me again until next October 31st.

Saw The Sound of Music at the Majestic Theater in San Antonio last night. First time seeing any version of it. It was great to catch something I had had only seen referred to or parodied. Shout out to Simpsons and Family Guy. The audience gasp and discomfort when the flags dropped was intense.

This Film often has the piss taken out of it for being a rather sedentary piece about 2 people just talking a lot — BUT — it has one of the most brilliantly prescient monologues imho. MY DINNER WITH ANDRE (1981) Have a listen.

Saw Tony this weekend. They reversed the trope of an attractive actor playing a real life person only for a photo at the end to show the real life person looking like a goon. Bourdain’s real life picture was a smoke show that made Sessa look like the goon.

ActBlue trains likely Dem voters to knee-jerk yell STOP at Dems every week for a year before they are asked to go to the polls to cast a YES vote for Dems. The cognitive dissonance of that has got to have a negative effect on turnout and support.

Some people are so afraid of giving a wrong answer that they are damn near impossible to get information from. “I can’t say it might change or I wouldn’t even want to estimate.” Then there are others who are a gleeful firehoses of disinformation. Guess which one I usually need answers from.
