i have a long work day today, so i’m making sure to wear compression socks and bring an electrolyte beverage to the office, considering i’ve never once had a medical professional startled at how low my blood pressure was until yesterday and now i’m concerned.

If SCREEN were to pass, you'd be required to scan your face and upload an ID to access this site because it allows "harmful" material. This affects you even if you don't care about sex work or porn.

Mike Lee's SCREEN Act, which heads to Senate Commerce Committee for markup on Wednesday, would expand age verification requirements to a nearly limitless scope of websites, and is supported by the architects of Project 2025.

perhaps i wasn’t meant to ever have another physical. this is just like the time i tried to have a dental cleaning and exam after many years and left with nothing but a referral for a root canal. i’ve never been back.

despite the stress of having insurance issues and not being able to get an actual physical, i’m gonna get to see the doctor about “concerns” and when the nurse took my bp, she asked if i felt like i was gonna pass out or faint because it was low, so that’s a great sign.

i forget exactly who i’m scheduled with for my appointment this evening, but i remember it being a fairly young woman of color and i’ve never had a physician that wasn’t a white man and i’m so hopeful that she won’t ask weird questions about my stretchmarks or blame anything on my weight.

just saw a reel where the creator said most people’s problems could be solved by long periods of sobriety and/or celibacy and someone said it was a reductive take because they’re both and still got in a car accident and that’s unironically exactly what being online is like at all times

i miss avocados so much. i buy at least two every week, but the last half-dozen or so have gone from hard and green to still hard but somehow entirely hollow in the top in a matter of days, and this weekend, grocery outlet didn’t even have any. shit is DIRE.

air conditioning is great, but less great is the thing that happens to my body when it tries to go from the 75 degree office to my car (which currently reads 118 degrees because it’s been in the sun all day).

It will be worse than this! Most websites will be forced to ask you to send your ID to a third party surveillance service, adding a credit card won't be enough for most. Bluesky asks for your *social security number* if you live in Texas now, due to this shit. Call in, and kill it.

This will be the US if the SCREEN Act passes. Call your Senators before August 5 and tell them that you oppose the SCREEN Act, KOSA, and the KIDS Act. Use the official lookup tool at www.senate.gov/senators/sen... to find yours by state.

today has mostly felt like a wash, but because i did so much sitting around, i have managed to drink over 80 oz of water, and while i can usually get 50-70, this does feel like an accomplishment.

me: orange juice reply from a mutual: yeag reply from someone who joined the site a week ago: I don’t want to see this. Get it off my feed. Remove it. I hate you.

i have a busy week ahead of me and decided to spend my sunday being too much of a sad sack to even waste my day on watching youtube videos or maybe even a movie on kanopy and have just been on my phone so much that both wrists are in agony

there are reasons why my number one dream in life is to live completely alone and also reasons why i can’t see myself ever having a partner again and reasons why i mostly don’t reach out and try to make plans with people and wait for them to reach out to me, but those are none of my business.

just remembered that instagram suggested a post about the patron saint of bowel disorders to me earlier today. i escaped being forced to go to catholic school by one generation, but catholicism’s always lurking where i least expect it.
