to add: The west is going to burn, fire has been here longer than the USA has, many Indigenous land management practices work alongside fire. Rather than focusing on who started a fire, we need to work out how to live with fire and how the city became a tinderbox and how to help people right now.

I'm also working on getting a list of the books and games and stuff that my brother and his girlfriend lost, because if there's a chance I can restore any part of their collection, I want to do that. That list will be coming soon, their minds are just not ready to write itemized lists yet.
