It was around this time of year in '94. I was in a school org called the Adventure Club. We mostly hiked, a gross misinterpretation of the name. Anyway, on this day we were going on our biggest hike to date. We were set to arrive back at school around 5 so, w/driving, we'd be hiking like 90 minutes.
Yesterday I was trying to remember all the CT governors in my lifetime and came up with six but was sure that wasn't enough. It was. The first governor of my lifetime was William O'Reill who is a player in one of my favorite stories about my life. Settle in, won't you?
We have real hard work ahead AND everybody gets a day to fucking celebrate.
this is a good time to really make all those idiot pundits who stayed on Twitter because it's "less of a bubble than Bluesky" feel like the stupid fascist-accommodating pieces of shit that they are

Hot take: journalists who brag they don't vote are weird or don't understand what is at stake, especially when so many people want to vote but can't, or are being actively discouraged from doing so.

Not happy with the kind of actions some other Stevens are putting under our name.
If you are trying to tell me about the bad things in Obama's administration 3 days before a midterm election and almost a decade after he left office, yes I will give you a bit of side eye.
My friend (or friend of friend, I don't mean to be presumptuous) J.P. Sarro is on Law & Order SVU today. Exciting!

Also new in Eastern News, an article about the Global Wine Business Institute (GWBI). I'll be honest here, my co-writer Kyle did the legwork, I just polished things up a bit. Very kind of him to share the byline. www.easternct.edu/news/_storie...

Back in late Mar/early Apr, I recorded this cast. The premise is the hosts randomly select a title and plot elements and then together with a guest (ME!) we build a (hopefully!) coherent story. It's a lot of fun and I don't think I laugh too much at my own jokes. www.podchaser.com/podcasts/som...
