fun quirk of capitalism that very often the members of a marginalised group who least need the benefits and supports offered to that group are the most likely to be able to access them. "elite capture" is just the enclosure movement. they keep hoarding our fields

Notice how no media commentator has asked Reform how they will afford making the English Channel the most militarized and surveilled stretch of water in the world? Meanwhile reducing bus fares to £2 will apparently bankrupt the country.

The GCs are uniting in their grief over Rod Liddle's death, a man who assaulted his young pregnant girlfriend and said he couldn't be a teacher because he'd rape the kids. He was also a vicious racist, long before it was so profitable. He hated trans people, so, to these 'feminists' he's a hero.

We just lost someone I would never in a million years have been expected to be friends with, or probably even to have made peace with...

Gutted about Rod Liddle, he was a great man. I take huge pride in having been regular contributor to his show, and I appreciated his support for my writing very much. I know full well what the online sisterhood think about this but I don't care in the slightest.

Oh no! I really liked Rod, had a drink with him a couple of times, and did his show every month. He was always so kind about my work, and we had a total laugh every time I was on the programme. Awful news.

Reform issue new proposal to deal with "small boats". They're absolutely mired in fraud and corruption and this is all they have. Of course the BBC and the rest of the media report it like its a serious idea from a serious party, which it isn't and they aren't.

Nigel Farage just took a question from a 'journalist' at his press conference, who turned out to be his former chief adviser Raheem Kassam, who asks him why the media are being so unfair to him

Trying to get to a town that is less than two miles away. Have heavy bags so need to get public transport. Two buses haven't shown up and am now waiting for a train which is "delayed". Been 45 minutes on this odyssey now which should have taken 5 minutes. Northern Powerhouse indeed.
