GM cannot compete with the world so they need to engage in ever more blatant cronyism to stem the competition
GM CEO Mary Barra is introducing Trump at his rally. Something to keep in mind if you're in the market for a vehicle anytime soon.

This is a colossally idiotic take. frac.org/hunger-pover...

I find this genre exhausting when there's plenty of stuff ppl are facing personal financial crises over (rent, medicine, even auto insurance) and the Very Online keep making up shit about the one thing almost no one in America has trouble affording: fucking food.
And that's exactly the point. The oppressive surveillance compliance apparatus needed to support these laws are the goal.
It's going to end up being a surveillance state that requires severe privacy risks for girls to participate in sports going forward including invasive genetic testing and physical examinations.
hey man did you see the split bc i am not feeling good and i am p sure i need representatives who understand that this was by the skin of our teeth and that we have an opponent who will continue to push until they win
Birthright citizenship remains the law of the land. Out of many, one!
Cops and surveillance are inherently evil together and should be thoroughly restricted.
In Ottawa, the police chief had to make a 7-minute video telling officers to stop using databases and surveillance tools to look up women they found attractive out in the world. This is a major problem *everywhere* and one that has only gotten worse as police have gotten access to more technology.
Palantir announces they believe Democrats will take the House and Senate this November.
More DCCC bundlers, at the firm Avoq, are now lobbying for Palantir. They include Dem insider Steve Elmendorf and Hakeem Jeffries' former chief of staff, Cedric Grant. New by @donnydonny.bsky.social
my big take away is that this is what Sean Hannity looks like right now.
remarkable scenes on Hannity last night as the normally Trump-friendly Gen. Jack Keane criticized the administration for being an unreliable narrator, urged Trump to release the text of the Iran deal, and noted it may still end up leaving a path for Iran to get a nuke
Collins is extremely popular. Maine kampf will not be able to beat her
Use the tools to get what you want. You don't need to use AI tools in the way that big tech wants you to.
There are genuinely useful things that this tech can do and the reflexive belief that this is all inherently bad or has absolutely no use is one that is going to result in the unilateral disarmament of the left in technology spaces. It's a force multiplier when you know what you're doing.
particularly egregious when you recognize this reality:
the most hideous part of this story is that this man came in for chest pain, and the SECOND they thought he might be psychotic, they didn't bother checking out his heart. they 5150d him for a couple days instead. even if he HAD been delusional, this would be a SEVERE breach of medical ethics
Bog standard misogyny trying to fool you by wearing the colors you like.
there's a real feeling of like...if a man did something horrible to me or someone i know that guys like this just wouldn't fucking care
When a man tells you that he is a rapist, believe him.
Graham Platner sucks and has always sucked.
What a loser. Xavier Becerra deserves to be never heard from again, and he will probably California's next governor.
Compare Steyer's response on trans athletes to this very different response Becerra gave last month in an interview with a local CBS affiliate:
Creepy Ken Paxton is a pedo, more and more people are saying
Searches for Adam Hoffman are skyrocketing as reports go viral of Ken Paxton’s office offering the admitted child molester a one-day jail sentence after serially abusing a young boy.

NEW: A lot of bad has happened to American science over the last year but nothing comes even close to what’s about to happen if we don’t speak out in opposition to the OMB rule changes and I hope @aaas-socsci.bsky.social @apsphysics.bsky.social and others will launch public campaigns about this. 🧪🔭⚛️
