As primarily a digital artist myself, I feel this. In the backlash to genAI a lot of other artists are turning back to traditional mediums, which is great if you enjoy that, but please don’t leave us digital artists to the wolves.

I do have an apprehension to upload and post stuff lately because there's really no joy in being disrespected

Caveat: Feel free to share all your dumb sketches, even if you think they aren't "good enough" to show anyone. It's your feed. Like it says, you're not performing for anyone else. That can also mean "upload whatever you feel like" if you can shrug off the dancing monkey mindset.
Sen@dresdencodak.com · 2w agoArt tip: don't share everything you draw. Draw things you never intend to show anyone. Your brain needs time to just exist in a state that's not about performing for strangers. This used to be the normal way to exist before social media poisoned us.

You will be ahead of so many comic artists if you learn lettering. Even if you don't plan to be a pro letterer, it goes a long way in improving your composition when you're considering how the reader's eyes will travel through the page. It's part of comics grammar. Just doing this goes a long way 👇
