Every cat owner has random trash in their house they can't throw away yet because a cat claimed ownership of it, and knows for certain that the more expensive the cat toy the more the cat will be interested in the box it came in.

The lack of social supports and safety nets mean many of us get trapped in exceedingly dangerous situations. Forced to choose between help with food and meds or abuse.

Ugh. Back in 'my face bones are burning' sinus infection territory again. Fingers crossed the antibiotics do their thing with no secondary infections or ruptured ear-drums. Would I sell my soul for a functional immune system? Maybe.

Being able to live stream nature and events from around the world is something I never would have dreamed we’d be able to do when I was a kid. Bears catching salmon in Alaska, volcanic eruptions, backyard cameras showing wildlife on different continents. As someone isolated in my home? It’s magic.
