Many congratulations to Paulina Bryjka from the lab for winning the first Poster prize at the PGR research conference and to have managed to excite the entire College about the beauty of human centromeres. Such a proud supervisor!

What pays off if the goal is to secure a faculty position in academia. Emphasises big papers and post-doc career rather than PhD. Not surprising but unfortunately puts even more emphasis on hitting a breakthrough paper rather than building persistently certain research direction.
