<Herzog Voice> Mucilaginous cubes of torment. Glistening colours, but of a preschool whose walls are daubed with despair. Why so acrid? How can a benevolent god so deform a thing of nature, the root crop, into this abysmal being? </Herzog Voice>

Another of Ruby's paintings - "The Music Room" (Oil, 61 x 61 cm). Many of her works feature rooms impetuously abandoned by someone mid-work, and I find that slightly unsettling and very charming, and possibly worthy of psychological investigation. #art #painting www.instagram.com/p/C2N2wCXh1A...

My mother has recently taken up oil painting, and is a little anxious about it, if anyone has Instagram and would care to cast an encouraging eyeball over her work? 'Tis here: www.instagram.com/rishinjerro/ #artsky #oilpainting

An oil painting of a vase of yellow flowers on a recently vacated table with moka pot and papers, and with a black umbrella leaning by the door.

My excellent idea is to have a late afternoon coffee instead of a snack because dinner will happen in the next two hours & I’d rather not spoil it & want, instead, to live in hell & feel my teeth grow new nerves & experience a deep interior trembling that resembles panic until then.

"The first questions are easy. The first, it's a picture of a shark, a lion, a horse, and a squirrel. 'Which is the squirrel?' But by the end … they say I'm the only person ever to successfully draw a clock face. One doctor said it didn't look like a clock face. He's not a doctor anymore."

Barnard 175, a dense cloud of interstellar dust. It's 1400 light-years away in the constellation of Cepehus and is part of the much larger molecular cloud complex known as the Cepheus Flare. The illuminated region is the reflection nebula VdB 152. About 7 hours total integration over two nights. 🔭

A dense starfield, with several predominantly bright blue stars. There is an especially bright blue star with 4 large diffraction spikes in the lower right side of the image. In the center is a dimmer blue star. Behind the star is a dense cloud of dark dust that extends all the way up to the top of the image, somewhat like a vast plume of smoke. The cloud obscures the stars behind it and visibly reddens them. The blue star in the center is illuminating a patch of the cloud near its tip, creating a small blue reflection nebula.

Delightful people with amazing nails finding my wretched little book at obscure libraries is the only thing distracting me from the rampant horrors of the world. Apparently there are THREE copies at San Francisco Public Library (for whatever irrational reason). Thank you, kind and unusual librarian!

We should all write a novel called something like “The Invisible Metallurgist of Accidental Regrets” or “The Afternoon Society of Disconsolate Ferrymen” and retire to a vineyard in Crete.

It cannot be made clearer. If you continue to support the Harry Potter franchise in any way, you are directly funding the removal of trans people's human rights in the UK.
