Its promoters claim it resulted in loss of £500m revenue to local councils. It involves shuffling boxes with redundant contents in unoccupied properties. The enablers face no penalties.
Liberals complaining about the coarsening of the discourse when people fail to show due deference upon the death of a professional discourse coarsener.
A lot of people are just posting his article where he said he wanted to shag kids, which isn't fair. We should also remember him as a virulent racist who had several IPSO complaints upheld against him and who cheated on his wife, impregnating a 22-year-old he then assaulted.

Where does this weird idea come from that everybody is automatically owed respect, no matter how rancid a person they were? I don't have to respect Rod Liddle. I don't have to stay silent about what a terrible person Rod Liddle was. I'm allowed to say it.

In 2005, Liddle accepted a police caution for common assault after being arrested for allegedly punching his pregnant girlfriend, then 20 weeks pregnant. (Source: PinkNews) He later denied it. The caution stands.
You might think some people would look at the response Anne Widdecomb & Rod Liddle have received and wonder what people will say about them when it's their turn, and perhaps reflect a little.
It's all fake. The outrage, the offered "solutions", the bloke-in-a-pub persona. All of it is made up and stage-managed, and the British press couldn't help but fall for it.
