According to my 1999 diary I took a day off work and watched the eclipse through a pair of £1.99 glasses while sipping a bottle of commemorative spring water.

Everyone knows him as being creating Zippy, but he also worked on Muppet films, Little Shop of Horrors, The Sooty Show and more. RIP, Ronnie.

I was watching one of the many recent programmes about The Odyssey and the presenter commented that Homer never describes the sea as being blue. Am I right in thinking there wasn't actually a word for 'blue' in Ancient Greece? It's a loooong time since I did the OU's A295 Homer: poetry and society!
