Hello! I'm Amy, an indie dev currently working on the fan game "Freedom Planet Architect", and helping make mods for Freedom Planet 2! Email: velacosmos @ proton . me

Maybe we should pass around those old "welcome to BlueSky" posts again, where they describe exactly what kind of Twitter behavior shouldn't be tolerated here on BS as well. Including "willfully reading a good artist's inoccuous list of will/won't draw kinks as a personal attack" I have no words

okay is this rude person just having a bad day or is she always like this *checks profile- person thinks artists putting her fave fetish on the 'wont draw list' is a personal attack* ohhh i don't want that near me actually *block*

If you've got even an ounce of a soul in your body, you don't touch anything by ModRetro. It's too intrinsically linked to Palmer Luckey and his cohorts. I know the vast majority of you haven't and won't, but it's always worth a fresh reminder.

The chintzy-looking M64 clone console of the N64 by a company named ModRetro has been released, I think, I don't pay attention that closely to shit. But as the great @frankcifaldi.bsky.social posted before, it is our civic duty to push back against this company and shun ANYONE who doesn't.

Some time after I revealed my current game, an account said "When's the update that wipes that stupid smile off her face" Right after the creator of Freedom Planet herself told me it was in-character for Lilac in a midquel. She liked Lilac's FPA design Sonic fans crashout over changes to Lilac too

If you see this, please tell me the worst/most baffling bit of creative feedback you've ever recieved. Mine is still the time somebody told me my aliens had names that were too alien. Not that they were unpronounceable, just that they didn't sound enough like human names.

This measure is sadly necessary, but much welcome. It's so refreshing to read the Godot Foundation's educated understanding of what AI can't be trusted with (i.e, anything more than auto-complete.) Thank y'all so much for keeping Godot on-track. I can't wait to use it for a future game myself! πŸ’™

For years we have been overwhelmed by the volume of code contributions we have to review, especially from new contributors. AI has made the problem much worse. That's why we are taking steps to reduce the burden on maintainers while still welcoming new contributors: godotengine.org/article/cont...

it's funny to read the "kids don't like old games because they look like doo-doo" spiel again because in my experience as both former kid and present uncle, incuriosity is not a thing kids are famous for having that's more of problem with adults.

The amount of buzzwords and vitriol I see thrown around, the aversion to anything transgressive or "icky," the strange, prudish response to anything remotely mature... When I was growing up, the internet was being used mostly by adults. Now, it feels like it's all children. It's bizarre.
