See this is the good thing about genuinely enjoying old games. AAA crash? Cool, I got literal 2 or 3 lifetimes of games to play in my Steam account. Like seriously I don't think I'll end up playing more than 50% of my library before I die

Last I'll post about this, but Elon Musk disagrees with me. This means I am onto something, and I feel more valid in my opinion than ever.

fuck your ai generated game mods. if you genuinely can't figure out how to make a mod of any kind without AI then just don't. i'd rather a modding community die compared to it turning into whatever disgusting unoptimized, sloppily coded, artistically void, pissing grounds you call a community.

Don't let billionaires convince you slop is the future. They're used to managing & directing, not making things themselves. Of course they can't see the difference. They don't understand your love for the craft. Keep making personal, beautiful games. You've got my support 💖

"tHe IsSuE iS ThAT YouRe UsInG ReDDiT" Shut up. Indie dev communities were fun. Seeing what other people made kept me motivated through my own work in recent years. Now it’s just another casualty of the AI slop factory.

i miss when people used to make actual content the neglect and missed opportunities\wasted potential of goldsrc shootdodging multiplayer mods (Action Half-Life\The Specialists\The Opera) and fucking NeoTokyo is what i personally i think - a hidden tragedy

every now and then i used go to the moddb page for hl1 and 2 to see which evil mods there are that i could play in vc with friends but i stopped going to moddb at all a while ago cause the whole site is just a depressing wasteland of ai generated bullshit now

Richard B. Gray - LEVELORD 11/15/1957 - 10/12/2026 Just heard the news that an old friend of mine has passed on. Richard Gray - aka Levelord has departed the planet. I know he's dealt with cancer on and off for awhile now, a word that I cannot stand. Word comes from his wife Olga.
