going to think of my hip surgery next week like those asmr vintage pc restoration channels. my body is just a PC from 92 that needs to be taken apart, repaired, then reassembled. 😌 a uv bath would probably do me some good too tbh

social worker from my surgery hospital called to discuss pre-op stuff this morning and kept saying "they" instead of "you" when talking directly to me. on one hand i feel like i can't be mad about an attempt to get my pronouns correct but on the other hand... i'm so fucking tired.

Devs, pay attention to who is actually, practically offering support to our laid off colleagues. It’s not the companies, it’s not the ESA, it’s the union, it’s us.

huh. There Is No Antimemetics Division is certainly a book for me to be reading after having just played a certain video-game lots of people are talking about.

i am so glad for the type_help / galley house hype, i played the original a few months ago and the new version is just as outstanding. i'm working through the new content now, so close to the end!

With layoffs at Xbox, sources indicate accessibility efforts have also been affected. What was once a champion of accessibility is now a shell of its former self, unsure if accessibility even has a place at the new Xbox. Read my first report for @aftermath.site here: aftermath.site/xbox-layoffs...

Layoffs Leave The Future Of Xbox’s Award-Winning Accessibility Efforts In Doubt

Former workers say Xbox cuts leave less resources and experts to make sure games are developed, labelled, and tested with accessibility in mind

For so long, health insurance, especially for those with chronic health conditions or disabilities, is used as the "carrot on a stick" to keep workers compliant with mistreatment. That's why finding insurance options has routinely ranked top priority among our members, especially freelancers.

About 24% of U.S. employees stay in unwanted jobs just for health insurance, a report out Wednesday finds. Up significantly since 2021, the uptick in "job lock" is a concerning sign for the U.S. economy. n.pr/4gQIY5E

i stayed up way too late because i always need to get at LEAST one artfight attack done per year and this one was long overdue 💞 revenge on af user sevenseass of their warframe drifter!! fought thru learning a new program for this one so not the best animation i've ever done but i love the colors

printers are the epitome of everything wrong with technology. they all have some stupid subscription now for something no one cares about, they're usually massive, and they often die within months of ownership and few uses. they have one job (usually) and do it poorly. the software is bad. and /1

looking for (preferably but not required) queer, horror & sci-fi recs for me to read & annotate while i recover from surgery in less than a month! i have the complete works of sherlock holmes, persona by aoife josie clements, the southern reach series, magic for liars by sarah gailey, and 1/2

I'm very sorry to announce that I was one of the devs affected by the Obsidian layoffs today. At least for four years, it was a beautiful dream. If you need a writer with experience in everything from the fog of war to romance - especially if you're open to remote - please get in touch.
