appears that hegseth impulsively blurted this out to look tough, but had not discussed it with others prior, causing admin to scramble. he did not think through the consequences of livestreaming. these do not seem like good qualities for someone making war-related decisions.

Breaking news: Fort Hood shooter Nidal Malik Hasan will not be executed on a live-stream, President Trump said. “Many very good and well meaning people would rather not watch him die,” Trump said.

To this day, I have not played a Fire Emblem that nailed it's Act 2 Darkest Hour anywhere near as well as Awakening. The map where you retreat through the rain after *the thing* happens is so iconic and poignant, and it has not yet been replicated.

I'm happy to publicly come forth as the JP-to-EN translator of My Journey to Her by Yūna Hirasawa. It's a great honor to be the first openly transgender & nonbinary native Japanese translator to be credited for the translation of an Eisner Award-winning manga. 😊 Please see my full statement below.

A statement from Mishima Kitan. Due to the word count restriction of the ALT text field, the ALT text is split into two parts. The second part is in the subsequent image in the thread of this post. Statement Part 1: "Hi, everyone. This is Mishima Kitan. Today, I'm happy to publicly come forth as the Japanese-to-English translator of My Journey to Her, an autobiographical transgender memoir, by Yūna Hirasawa. My Journey to Her won the Eisner Award for the category of Best Digital Comic in 2025. I'm very glad that this significant book has been released physically as well. I've been using English as my second language for over thirty years now. It's a great honor to be the first openly transgender and nonbinary native Japanese translator to be credited for the translation of an Eisner Award-winning manga. At the time of the digital release of this book in 2024, I had some personal concerns about being credited so I requested to be anonymous in the initially released edition. In March 2026, Haruko Hashimoto (the editor of the digital edition) had reached out to inform me that the book was getting a physical release and to ask if I'd like to be credited as the translator. Upon consideration, I replied, "Yes." I felt ready to be credited as the translator and I also felt that this present moment was a historically important timing to confirm the credit. Having my own fair share of transphobic experiences and having to entirely cutting ties with my blood family in Japan at age 20 to live and transition on my own, this memoir was one of the most emotionally challenging book to translate. But, as with any work that I do, I gave my best effort."

I try to be tolerant but I just have no respect for people who look at intentionally ambiguous storytelling and go "NO, actually, obviously there is ONE definitive concrete canonical answer and I will entertain NOTHING else" WHY DO YOU THINK IT WAS LEFT AMBIGUOUS THEN CRAIG!!!!!
