Oh this thing is dead as hell, then. They aren't going to pay over $1bn to shareholders (and thats if the trial starts and ends on March 1st) on a merger that they wanted to push through as fast as possible. Thank god.

The antitrust trial for the Warner Bros/Paramount merger will take place in March 2027. Paramount must begin paying WB shareholders $7M a day on Sept. 30 until the deal is complete.

It took me decades of ruining friendships and putting myself in bad situations to realize this. Not because I wanted to, but because I didn't realize there was an option. Realizing that I can just say no forever was the first time I felt like I could have a future I wanted.

I wrote a master's thesis on intentionally single people, and the number of them that said in various ways, "I didn't know not dating people was even an option at first" was absolutely tragic. They honestly thought they had no choice and it never occurred to them that option out was even a possibility available to them. People honestly believe these are life experience you are requires to have AND THEY ARE NOT. You can just not have sex. You can just not date people. You can completely by-pass one or both of those things. Neither of those things are required to be healthy, happy, normal, mature, fulfilled, or any of the other bullshit notions that get attached to these things.

This is the first time I've seen someone with the actual correct interpretation of what is happening here: Sony wants to go full subscriptions service/cloud gaming. They don't want to sell you physical games because they don't want to sell you *games*. They want to sell you a subscription.
