Seeing memorial events in places where these kids were born after. It is being used to perpetuate violent patriotism and hate. These kids have no idea what has been lost. They don't know the insane changes the American psyche went through. I not only mourn death, but of what could have been.

Blind nationalism turned a lot of otherwise docile people into racist monsters yearning for hate crimes. It was being pushed on the news and in movies. If you spoke against that you were destroyed by the media
Good thread and I’m sick of seeing people rewrite 9/11 history. The only “shared bond” people had was saying stuff like “turn that desert into glass” amongst other slurs and songs about how we’ll “put a boot up your ass”

Fun fact: "Reviewing an AI made translation" is more work for translators than just translating it themselves, because AI translations do not pass the sniff test beyond the most superficial. It's a loophole companies use as an excuse to underpay translators, and nothing else.

as a (former) translator "vibe coding" is our equivalent of a person who slaps their name on a book theyve "translated" by using machine translation, they dont know the language they made a machine to translate from, they never even proof read well bc they cant read the language. its not gonna work.
