Twitch and Amazon are apparently planning to use streams to train Generative AI. Multiple sources tell me it will be announced in the coming months, despite some internal friction against it. Creators may be able to opt out of some training data.

The TOS being so strict that they control you offsite is the problem; sites like Patreon and Kofi have offsite clauses too. The social criminalization of the suggestion that somewhere you might be doing nsfw is a problem. It's branding a person as obscene and we need consumers to stand up for us

Alright, it was suggested to me that I actually crowdfund the out of pocket cost for the lumbar MRI since my insurance keeps denying the day before the appt even w/ it as an important order. I will have more info in the replies as well. I was honestly hesitant but... ko-fi.com/portaltohades

Right now, I'm currently in need of a lumbar MRI but due to insurance denials and other roadblocks, I may be forced to pay out of pocket. Since trying to get it twice now, my symptoms have significantly worsened over the last few months. After discussing my options with friends, I've agreed to make a kofi goal to cover the MRI, bills, transportation, and a small cushion for other necessities. Literally any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Okay so putting this plainly. 500-1k followers on Youtube gets me access to being paid for my work. Getting to 75 viewers per stream on Twitch for at least two months gets me access to more opportunities. Follows, Raids, Lurks are FREE ways to help a disabled person gain some stability.

Also just the silence from non-disabled streamers this month about it being Disability Pride Month was so loud. I barely saw anyone supporting our mutual aid raid train & it was so sad. I am damn proud of the disabled folks who made this month better. The rest of y'all do better by us.

I'm not happy with how Twitch has handled Disability Pride Month. I didn't get notifications about being on the shelf. There's still no news about the Disabled Guild & there were barely any events or paid work offered to us. The lack of care for us is so indicative of how our society treats us.

New month, new qrp for the ever shifting ever changing stream of doctor appts. Esp now that I have a pcp that cares and rheumatologist that wants to actually figure out what is wrong w/ me. Downside is transpo to appt is roughly $60-80 round trip. I apologize for asking but thank you for the help -

True but ADA wasn't created out of the goodness or morality of legislators, but because activists fought for it by obstructing business as usual until their demands were met. They didn't just vote & beg & wait. (Please watch the documentary Crip Camp about this if you haven't seen it.)

This month is the 36th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act and it reminds me that the ADA could not be passed today. It probably couldn’t get a vote in committee today.
