I really want to like the Steam Deck, but I find myself disappointed with it, & it's because games aren't made for handheld consoles anymore. The Steam Deck, Switch, etc can't capture what past handheld consoles could because doing so required technological limitations that don't exist anymore.
Ultimately what has disillusioned me is that the current left seems to want to recreate the methodology of the 2016-2024 right, & that doesn't make me feel confident that we will be any more democratic or better at reducing suffering.
The thing about populism is that it appeals to the publics worst underlying tendencies. Sure, elements of it can be used for good, but it is a really easy thing to manipulate, and the left is no better at weilding it than the right.

If someone ever demands you not speak to specific others to limit "triangulation", they're not afraid of you ganging up on them, it's out of fear of you discovering their manipulation.
It's a specific tactic used to control the flow of information by lying about and to people and setting it up so they are less likely to confront and adress supposed issues with each other. The only real counter to actual triangulation is fully open and honest communication.
