I play games with people to find out who they are. Can you communicate things? Are you greedy? Will you do your own work? Are you willing to learn? Will you take away from what I'm doing? When you behave badly, will you take responsibility or make excuses?

I’m making a browser extension called Safe Badge to let you know which Twitch streamers have disabled Gen AI training. This is an honor system as there’s no way to verify it. But it’s better than nothing. The extension isn’t finished yet but you can give yourself the badge here: safebadge.ori.mx
I just don't deal with it anymore. If I feel less than comfortable in a space, I don't force myself to stay in that space. I did that long enough in life. I also don't keep people in my space that make me feel less than comfortable. Your presence is not required.
Twitch's "Allow your channel content to train generative AI models" setting is here and on by default. Go turn that shit off, streamer!! The toggle is under your Settings, then 'Security and Privacy'
Reminder from somebody that owns a game shop: Collect things that you enjoy and that add value to your life. The collector market overall is basically a pyramid scheme.
Honestly, this stuff is why I've been migrating away from the reach of Meta, Google, Microslop, and so on. They do this crap without your knowledge or consent, turned on by default. And I've just grown tired of it.

It isn't that the internet isn't full of real humans anymore so much as humans regularly don't act as real people anymore. Rather many, if not the majority are largely reposters in their learned interaction style. (Regardless of veracity of that information.) The sky is very chartreuse today.
I can't wait for 400 years from now when they somehow believe algorithm is derived from Al Gore Rhythm and that as he invented the internet after his failed presidential run, he became our vengeful god and we were subject to his whims. The loyal were paid in exposure.
I can't express how much I'm disappointed in Hellraiser Revival after seeing actual gameplay. It's Hellraiser in window dressing only and what looks to be a very generic Resi-like. I was interested in what the property could bring to the table and apparently it's direct to home video. Pass.

Concept: What if the pronunciation of your name changed depending on the gender identity of the speaker? This has to exist in some language, right? We already do diminutives and such based on various other factors such as context of the relationship. And I just find the idea interesting.
Ugh, pass yet again. This feels like every other "Ooh, I'm so disturbing," supernatural possession piece of dreck movie out there. It's lost the fun; the style; the chaos; and even frankly the bit of camp that made the Evil Dead franchise formerly great.

Not really shocking that a corporation that already notoriously pays their employees and contractors poorly would do anything in their power to disrupt and deny a union vote. They just aren't as aggressive and adept at it as Amazon, Walmart, and eBay.

This means our trans employees are being forced to openly deadname themselves in order to vote in today's union election. This is deeply fucked.
