The BBC is a propaganda outlet and the official mouthpiece of Reform. Nigel Farage would be a nobody today without the constant outsized promotion by the BBC over the last decade and a half.

Reform are not even the official opposition and the plans have less credibility than Count Binface. Will BBC News do the same for Lib Dem and Greens policy two years out from an election?

I mean, it’s immediately obvious that this was wildly disproportionate and inappropriate. With what there is to cover, moreso. It was pure ideologically driven propaganda*, not reporting. * I’m not saying that they got the facts wrong. The scope of the “coverage” has a weight.

Not a good showing for Farage. 27% for a joke candidate is very high (probably a record) and captures a pure anti-Farage vote. That over a quarter of the vote in the most Reform friendly seat in the country will instead back a man with a bin on his head shows how strong anti-Farage motivation is.
