really not a huge fan of the megapastor winning the democratic nomination for US senate in Kansas tbh
Quite an upset in the #KSGov Dem primary. State Sen. Cindy Holscher, who came out against data centers and the Kansas City Chiefs stadium deal, has defeated state Sen. Ethan Corson, who had a big financial edge and an endorsement from term-limited Gov. Laura Kelly.
Gotta get Deltarune somehow before the spoilers reach me…
raise a paw if you walked on the balls of your feet as a child because you read way too much warrior cats and wanted to be more cat-like and digitigrade
Holscher horses, Laura Kelly. There's a new gubernatorial nominee in town.
laura kelly don't fuck up your legacy at the last minute challenge 🙏
Decision Desk HQ projects Cindy Holscher wins the KS Governor Democratic Primary #DecisionMade: 9:55 PM EDT
yknow what actually it's cool that they put the amendment on the august primary, because now state legislature candidates can point to it and say "hey remember that amendment you all hated? my opponent sponsored that"
Kansas legislature's "what if the supreme court worked more like Congress, which everyone hates" amendment proves unpopular. who coulda seen this coming
The AP hasn't called either contest yet, but Missouri's Amendment 4 is losing 82-18 statewide and failing in every county with 10% of votes reporting so far. Kansas' Amendment 1 is losing 71-29 and getting crushed in numerous Trump counties with 26% of votes in. These look over
the Kansas legislature tried to sneak around the issue by not directly mentioning abortion this time and they did even worse than they did in 2022 lmao
Republican power grabs in Kansas and Missouri are going down in flames with 18-25% of votes reported so far. Missouri's Amendment 4 aimed to make citizen-initiated constitutional amendments practically impossible. Kansas' Amendment 1 was designed to flip the state Supreme Court to ban abortion
if you and your circle are not thinking about swisching your fat fluffy f*cking tails AT LEAST three times a day -- GET A NEW CIRCLE
This is our recommendation in the race among Ethan Corson, Cindy Holscher and Curt Skoog.
