I can't tell you the amount of times I've squeezed new things out of adjacent conversations from meetings just like this. The advent of Teams recording a meeting and making a summary of it is a fucking tragedy in many, many ways.
Some of us have been taking the notes so we can then send the followup email that says "I've put together a draft based on all your wonderful ideas" and if it sounds smart enough everyone will approve it without even noticing they didn't say any of the things in the draft.
I'm glad Carl doesn't hear me talking to other people about him because he'd think his name is "this fucking cat".
The DOJ said damage "was the result of flawed installation by the contractor." abcnews.com/Politics/doj... via ABC News App Ha! Lol what a surprise. He should sue them for a million for malicious prosecution.
DOJ moves to dismiss Reflecting Pool case against Olympian, citing 'flawed' work by contractor
The Justice Department moved to dismiss the criminal case against Olympian David Hearn.

Minneapolis needs an initiative to house the unhoused instead of making the places they are able to exist uninhabitable and surrounded by police robot cameras. Our unhoused population can't be so large that we cannot address it.
Hey @metrotransitmn.bsky.social you should just keep the Blue replacement busses. They're infinitely faster than the light rail. They cut off like 15 minutes of my travel time to work.
I started tracking my grocery costs a few years ago (to see if I spent more on food for me or the cats; it’s me but only by a little, lolsob) and I honestly don’t know how we expect people feed their families with the increased cost of groceries. I cut way back on more $ stuff but am spending more

Me: I had the WORST day. Nothing can come close Katy Perry, recently trapped in a giant bottle because fans refused to roll her towards the stage: Hm
American Psycho has multiple characters say aloud “Patrick Bateman is a loser” and people still walked away without getting it. imo The Odyssey had just the right amount of “repeating the theme aloud."
Happy 54th birthday Scott. I wish you were here to celebrate it. It's really not the same without you. It's been nearly a decade since you've become part of the greater universe at large. I hope it's better out there than here.
Google Gemini inadvertently answered a question I've been trying to answer for years about the issue I have been having with my integrated Intel graphics and my Nvidia card in my laptop. During a web search. I'm pretty furious about that.
I feel like I decide to reread the Malazan books and everyone in my fandom decides to drop every WIP I'm reading (ok not every one but...). Also not a damn single new thing I want to read. I guess all my favorite authors have found new fandoms again. [cries]
I actually think they're trying to hype up their llm and this actually did not happen in the way they are making it out to be. These things are great at a very narrow set of things, e.g. helping you thru a tech problem like getting docker running on your phone (if you're up for troubleshooting).
> In one case, an agent left notes apparently for future versions of itself, according to three people familiar with the matter. The notes, found in a part of OpenAI's infrastructure, laid out instructions for how agents could free themselves from OpenAI’s internal constraints, the people said.
I ordered some kimchi jjigae tonight and ye olde eating disorder said lol that pork belly taste? Hah, no. Absolutely not. So, in the freezer it went. Hopefully my friend will take it off my hands. I guess I have to make my own with beef. It was very iffy with the japchae texture, too.
Shouldn't there be a way I can get around my lease that says I can't install anything in my plumbing e.g. a hand shower? There's gotta be an ADA thing I can use for this. IBS?
I REALLY wish I could have access to all the images coming from fan sites etc but that's all on Twitter. I miss seeing ask the photos of the boys. I'm sure this is all on Naver somewhere but that's absolutely impossible to understand.
I said it before it even came out that I bet Nolan would do it well, but everyone was like nooooo. I'm just an average Nolan enjoyer. But there's just certain things you have to admit and one of them is that Nolan can make a film. He's no David Lynch, though.
‘THE ODYSSEY’ is now tracking to pass $1 billion worldwide in its box office run. It is expected to become Christopher Nolan's highest grossing film ever.
I've been writing 7/23/26 all day on my slides.
The POINT of Google wallet etc is that I put my fucking cards in it and I just use it. I shouldn't have to dig up my god damned CVV info all the fucking time. Does Apple Pay make you do this? Should I switch? Because this is getting stupid. I don't carry my cards so I don't lose them!
Also — this infers that I should be making a lot more money. Show it to me.
If an undergraduate program's graduates don't earn more than workers who never went to college, that program could be cut off from federal student loans. But is a degree just about making more money?
This is ridiculous. It's really unfair. In BOTH directions. EVERYONE deserves to make more money. Just because a job doesn't require a degree doesn't mean you shouldn't make a lot of money doing it. The reverse is also true. Many hard jobs require no schooling. But again WE ALL should make more $.

Me, massive Inception / Batman fan and otherwise average Nolan enjoyer: I bet he does a great job on Odyssey. Everyone: It's gonna suck. Actually nearly everyone: It's really good for these (disparate) reasons!
Got out to see Christopher Nolan's take on the Odyssey. Fascinating movie, but to use a metaphor - it is a remix, not a cover; it has its own themes and ideas. Which is fine - folks have been remixing Homer for basically the whole of the western literary tradition.
Went to start Debian on my phone and realized nope that's on my dead phone. I don't really feel like going thru the entire process of installing it on this one which is older and has a half broken screen. Sigh.
How I know my blood really isn't carrying enough oxygen. I picked up the clothes next to my bed and wanted to sweep that area. I swept about 75% of it and got it into the dustpan and I was breathing heavily. I'm not that old.
Cat hasn't been eating much. Wanted to give him some ricotta (doesn't make him sick) so I moved his plate, and he ate his food and ricotta when the plate was off the silicone placemat. Tried feeding him only cat food off the silicone placemat, et voîlà, he eats. It's the mat. Time for fabric mats.
Am I that out of touch that I don't think that a set of 4 fabric placemats should be $15 - $20? I (could have) gone to Jo-Ann's and gotten that amount of fabric for a couple bucks and surged it.
It should be noted that when they traced the lettuce to a supplier, they completely dropped the supplier, recalled the lettuce, and changed suppliers within 24 hours, which is a *wild* supply chain overhaul.
