El-Sayed: "Once a government agency like ICE is told it has impunity to do the worst things and violate the highest law of the land, which is the Constitution itself, I don't think you can reform or retrain. I think we need to start from scratch ... I think we need to abolish it."

Notice DOJ doesn't talk about its efforts to obtain state voter files anymore. They are 0-20 in those cases and today is the beginning of the quiet period -- states can no longer do systematic removals of names from the voter rolls. TLDR: We won!🥳

When your party leader is a president with historically low approval ratings, who has raised prices through tariffs and wars, uses disaster relief and science grants to punish states that didn’t vote for him, and has agents shooting people in the streets, this is what you do.

You cannot make this up. Courtesy of @freep.com, Thomas Smith not only won the primary, thrashing the guy endorsed by Trump, but he won after DROPPING OUT A MONTH AGO. @radiofreetom.bsky.social Especially interested to see if you think this might mean Trump's grasp is finally slipping.

FWIW, both of VDARE’s founders were on the masthead of the National Review in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Peter Brimelow was also a staffer for Senator Orrin Hatch. This white nationalist thread has been present in the conservative movement for a long time. Screenshot is from 1997.

There are something like 7,000,000 Muslim Americans. If they were all "prone to terrorism," they'd probably, you know, do some terrorism. White supremacists, on the other hand, ARE prone to terrorism - and responsible for the majority of politically motivated violence in the US.

Dying at the right-wing activists that (1) held a call with Todd Blanche in which Blanche made a lot of anti-abortion promises, (2) said "uh this is off the record" like doing so would magically ward off journalists, and then (3) UPLOADED IT TO THEIR YOUTUBE CHANNEL www.politico.com/news/2026/08...

The acting attorney general’s conversation with Trump appears to have taken place just hours after the president publicly mused about pulling Blanche’s nomination and instead trying to push through a fund that could be used to compensate Jan. 6 rioters and others who claim to have been persecuted by the Biden administration.
Announcements at the beginning and end of the Intercessors for America call stated that it was “not intended for press purposes.” A speaker told attendees that the call was “not on the record” and directed any journalists on the line to hang up.
POLITICO was not on the call on Thursday when it took place and did not agree to any limits on reporting. Audio of the session was posted on YouTube by Intercessors for America, which calls itself “the largest national prayer ministry dedicated to praying for our government and leaders.”
As of Monday, the recording remained publicly accessible.

While it’s natural that govts seek to rein in misinformation, esp in moments of crisis, such attempts are often the vehicle through which govt actors target the press & muzzle dissent. 1st Circuit's ruling yesterday is a big win for press freedom & free speech: www.freepress.net/news/civil-l...
