"What if all the Ai is gone tomorrow? How would everyone survive without it?" is sort of like asking "what if herpes suddenly stopped existing?"

Watching David Byrne perform in Singapore in two days! (I hope to god he doesn't get detained by the authorities too for, I dunno, doing a dance in support of Palestine or something.)
It's easy to spot the folks that speak like they're superhero comic experts but who actually know sweet fuck-all about the comics they're talking about. (I mean, aside from how fucking wrong they always are.) They're the ones that never mention any creators beyond Stan Lee.
What the hell are you talking about Bob, Mary Jane even when she hasn't been the main love interest, she's always been an important character and it wasn't the 90s when the wedding happened it was the 80s and it was done in a decision between Lee & Jim Shooter
"[...] organically led chants of 'Free Palestine'" That's what gets lost in the coverage of this, that it wasn't the band who led the chants. Singaporeans, people who live in Singapore—they were the ones who started the chants. And that's what's so powerful about this.
This is Massive Attack's response to what happened in Singapore, posted on their Instagram page. Good on them.
Stop calling me an amateur. I've been doing this for decades. I'm incompetent.
men will see this post and ask "which one is the sexiest?" and we will answer: "Yes"
Guys will listen to male influencer bullshit about needing to have a six pack and manipulate everyone and meanwhile women will go “you know who is the sexiest fucking guy I’ve ever seen?” and post this
Love has never needed permission from labels 🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈 My emptiness of gender lets me see that clearly. Anxiety tightens around transgender lives right now. Why must their chosen bonds still pass through someone else’s gate? Why is the soul they claim treated as a request instead of a right?
Possible recency bias, but Massive Attack's BLUE LINES, PROTECTION, and MEZZANINE.
What's the best three album run from a band? (the correct answer is Moving Pictures, Signals, and Grace Under Pressure by Rush, but I'm excited to learn second place)
I'm willing to bet that these fine folks could get their hands on copies of WORK-LIFE BALANCE (www.edelweiss.plus#sku=98118455...) and HOW ARE YOU FEELING? (www.edelweiss.plus#sku=9819411785). Go ahead, drop them an email now. Make it real sexy too (but also respectful).
Psst.. anyone wanna buy a book? Anything you like. Hardbacks, paperbacks. I can even get hold of some of that spiral bound stuff, if that's what you're into. No questions asked. Discreet delivery. Nobody will know. Email biggreenbooks@gmail.com for some hot book buying action.
Well known for this and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ELSE ESPECIALLY NOT ANYTHING THAT HAPPENED WHILE FILMING ONE OF THE MOVIES HERE
🎉 HAPPY BIRTHDAY to John Landis, turning 76 today (August 3, 1950)! Well known for classic Horror/Sci-Fi films like "Schlock" (1973), "An American Werewolf in London" (1981), "Twilight Zone: The Movie" (1983), "Innocent Blood" (1992) & two episodes of the TV series "Masters of Horror" (2005/2006)!
I very clearly remember flipping through a European hardcover reprint of Steve Ditko and Stan Lee's AMAZING SPIDER-MAN when I was maybe four or five, while I was over at my aunt's house. This pin-up in particular has stayed with me since I was a kid.
If you’re a comics fan, what’s the earliest comic book you can remember reading? And what kind of impression did it make on you?
Handy if I'm ever involved in CRAZY RICH ASIANS discourse
I wish I remembered her name. She was a substitute teacher who assigned us a composition about time. I wrote time-travelling Ninja Turtles fan fic, and she told me that my story was really good and that I should keep at it. I've been telling stories ever since.
Who was YOUR great english teacher (if you had one)? For me it was Hugh Epstein at Richmond college (RUTC). I hope he's well, wherever he is!
In the 7th grade, I once left behind a folder of stories I wrote for myself at homeroom and Mrs. Plokhooy, who was also my English teacher, returned it to me with a note: "I hope you don't mind, I read these and I REALLY enjoyed them." I am now a novelist in my mid-forties and still have this note.

Massive Attack banned from Singapore after pro-Palestine display at show
The UK band is told not to return to the city-state after shouting "free Palestine" at a gig on Wednesday.

It saddens me that the letter of the law was deemed more important than morality and basic humanity. But, man, what a fucking powerful statement by Massive Attack. And you know what? The authorities can ban them, but all of us in the audience will remember *our* chants of "Free! Free Palestine!"

Money’s fake. Borders are fake. Religion is fake. Race is fake. Binary gender is fake. Everything we kill each other over is imaginary.
This was during the era in which I grew up, yet so many of the readers I knew from back then are happy to spew that "back in my day, comics weren't like this" nonsense.
When did comics become so woke? This was from a 1994 comic.
I cannot believe I didn't see this one coming.
Of course, his full name is Spideragar-Managon
(You can book me for this, btw! I'm based in SoCal, but happy to travel.)
Yes! I do an anti-AI school presentation, and the teachers always come up after saying that it's great to hear the things they've been saying coming from an author
“As a librarian, I think it’s important to see this as advancing digital literacy and helping people reclaim their autonomy over whether they want to use AI tools." techcrunch.com/2026/07/25/l...
Yeah, let's just can the show co-created by the dude who just directed the best ever live-action Spider-Man movie. That's not a dumbass move at all.
