This iridescent, dendritic (from the Greek word dendron, meaning tree) #perovskite likely formed from volcanic gases released from a volcanic vent, or fumarole. This crystal is from the Eifel Mountains, Germany. Perovskite can be beautiful! More on dendritic crystals in the comment. #MinCup25 ⚒️

The volume of mining and material use with EVs and renewables is massively in favor of clean energy, mainly because you can reuse batteries for decades and then recycle them. Oil, gas, and gas must be constantly moved.
