I want to support local journalism. I *DO* support local journalism. Last October, I paid $21.96/month for digital only access to @inquirer.com. They raised prices $7/month then (32%). Today they raised them again $8 (from $28.96->$36.96/mo). In 10 months the price has increased 68%. No way.

May be wrong here, but my sense is there is a whole media apparatus that aggressively screens Dem candidates and cautions voters not to support the more left-wing candidate. And this is asymmetric. Credible media messengers don't police right-wing candidates the same way.

linear TV was genuinely addictive because of the inability to watch what you want. Inconsistent but paced-out rewards the same as a skinner box. You got a big jackpot dopamine bonanza when your favorite Simpsons episode was randomly on syndication that day or came across an MST3k marathon
